Returning Parent Registration Guide

How to create your parent account with your family code and register for classes online.

What you’ll do

  1. Find the family code the school sent you
  2. Create a parent account (once per parent)
  3. Log in to the Family Portal
  4. Confirm each child’s date of birth on Overview (required)
  5. Register for classes for the open semester
New to Proclaim School? Do not use this guide first. Apply as a new family instead. After approval you will receive a family code.

0 Before you start

You need:

One family code per family. Both parents can create their own logins using the same code so everyone sees the same students and enrollments.

Direct links:

1 Create your parent account

  1. Open the Create Parent Account page.
  2. Enter your Family Code exactly as provided (uppercase is fine; the form normalizes it).
  3. Enter your first name, last name, and email.
  4. Choose a password (at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one number).
  5. Confirm the password and click Create Account.
After success, you may be asked to verify your email. Check your inbox (and spam), then continue to log in.
If you see “email is already registered”, you already have an account — skip to Step 2: Log in (or use Forgot password if needed).

2 Log in to the Family Portal

  1. Open the Login page.
  2. Select Parent (optional preference — the system still checks your real account role).
  3. Enter the email and password you used when creating the account.
  4. Click Sign In.

3 Confirm student birthdays

Before you can select classes, each child needs a valid date of birth on file. Many returning families only have ages from older records — the portal now requires a birthday for registration and stage placement.

  1. On the Parent Portal Overview tab, open Your Students.
  2. For each child, click Edit.
  3. Enter Date of Birth (required). Age and classical stage update from the birthday.
  4. Save. If a birthday is missing, you will see a warning on the student card.
Class selection stays disabled for any student without a valid birthday. Completing registration also checks this and will list students who still need a DOB.

4 Register for classes

  1. Open the Registration & Orders tab. 3
  2. Choose the semester that is open for registration.
  3. For each student who has a birthday on file, select the classes they should attend.
  4. Review the estimated cost summary.
  5. Complete any required waivers / agreements if prompted — you will review the full 2026–2027 Code of Conduct (and can print or email yourself a copy).
  6. Click Complete Registration.
After you submit, enrollment is typically pending admin approval. You can still view status in the portal under current enrollments.

? Troubleshooting

Invalid family code
Double-check spelling and hyphens. Codes are not case-sensitive. If it still fails, reply to the school email and ask them to confirm your code.
Email already in use
Log in instead of creating a new account. Use password reset if you forgot it.
I don’t see any semesters / classes
Registration may be closed for that semester. Wait for the school’s “registration is open” notice, or contact the school administrator.
Class selection disabled / “date of birth required”
Open Overview → Your Students → Edit and enter a valid birthday for that child (age 2–19). Then return to Registration & Orders. Returning families often need to fill this once even if an age was already listed.
Wrong portal / access message
You must use a parent account linked with a family code. Staff accounts use Admin or Teacher roles separately.
Spouse needs access
They create their own account on the same Create Account page using the same family code.
